Managing Partner
Mr. Bate is Managing Partner at EP Valuation LLC, a valuations and engineering consulting firm. He was most recently Director and Head of US Technical Services at ING Bank, a large multi-national bank. He is a recognized leader in reserves valuations with over 20 years of combined experience in banking and energy.
Mr. Bate began his career with Schlumberger, a worldwide technology and integrated-project management provider for companies in the oil and gas industry. He later obtained an MBA degree from the prestigious Jindal school of Management at UTDallas.
After graduate school, Mr. Bate joined Remington Oil and Gas Corp. and was a key engineer developing and executing engineering projects onshore and offshore. He was part of the core team that built the company from a few assets to a $1.4 billion company, prior to its acquisition by Helix Energy Solutions Group [HLX], in July 2006; assets which would became the foundation for Talos Energy.
Mr. Bate joined MUFG Union Bank N.A. in September 2008 as vice president and was later promoted to director for his contributions to the bank’s growth.
In 2018 he joined ING’s energy group. As Head of Technical Services at ING he oversaw valuations of the bank’s $4 billion energy portfolio.

A Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation with over 15 years’ experience in accounting, auditing, finance, taxation, sustainability reporting and project management including development partners’ funded projects (World Bank, African Development Bank, USAID) in various sectors of the economy.
Designing internal controls and accounting systems together with change management are areas where he’s gained extensive experience.

Mr. Ganesh, who holds a BSc in Engineering, brings over 10 years’ experience to the firm.
His previous assignments include working for Kinder Morgan (Gas Storage) and Newpek (US sub of Alfa – a large Mexican conglomerate) – among others.
Mr. Ganesh brings a wealth of Reservoir Engineering experience across multiple basins, including extensive A&D work, Reserve Reporting, Commercial Planning & Evaluation Development Planning, Economics, and Forecasting.
He has been involved in various evaluations of oil & gas projects – Domestic (South Louisiana, South Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas) and International (Mexico & Colombia)

She’s a result driven and dedicated marketing professional with strong research and organizational skills. She writes detailed reports and works closely with management to reach prospective clients.
Over multiple decades, she worked at a Multi-lateral Development Bank and a Multi-National Maritime Organization. During that time, she was instrumental in organizing promotional activities and managing training budgets for her employers.
